TOM
MUSTIN - Head Coach
Tom has been the head coach at the Tacoma Boxing Club for the past
34 years.
Tom has received hundreds of awards both locally and nationally, but
the highlight of his career came in the year 2000 when Tom was
selected to be the Olympic Head Boxing Coach for Team USA. Over the
years, Tom has coached thirty-six national amateur boxing champions,
eight amateur world champions and two professional world champions.

EMMETT LINTON - Club Manager
Emmett has been coaching with Tom since 1976 when he brought his
sons and nephews to the club to train. In 1983, Emmett was selected
to coach an International Junior Olympic Team that competed in
England. Emmett has two sons that are professional boxers, and you
can see both of them, at the club, working out and helping our
boxers in the gym.
ROBERT HOLMES - Assistant Coach
Robert boxed for 20 years and has coached for over 16 years and was
the 1991 Tacoma Golden Gloves champion. Robert says that during his
career, he has had the good fortune to train with many excellent
coaches. Robert calls his coaching style a conglomeration of his
previous coaches’ strengths. He is pleased to be a part of the
Tacoma Boxing Club.
LEO RANDOLPH - Mentor
It is an honor to have 1976 Olympic Gold Medal Winner Leo Randolph
as a mentor to our boxers. Mr. Randolph says that boxing provided
him with opportunities and opened doors that otherwise would not
have been available. Mr. Randolph offers his encouragement to our
boxers and reminds them that hard work can open the same doors for
them.
DAVEY ARMSTRONG - Mentor
Mr. Armstrong
is a two time Olympian, once in 1972, and then again in 1976, where
he brought home a Bronze Medal. Mr. Armstrong says that boxing gave
him the opportunity to see the world and learn many valuable life
lessons. Mr. Armstrong is a mentor to our boxers, offering
encouragement and advice and we consider ourselves fortunate to have
him as part of our program.
